A Quick Review of Montecristo Edmundo Cuban Cigars

There are a number of brands that Cuban cigars are known nowadays. But one of the most relevant brand and the most popular is the Montecristo Edmundo Cuban cigar. It is named after Edmundo Dantes, the hero of the novel written by ALexandro Dumas in the book “The Count of Montecristo”. This is the first variant size that belonged to the Montecristo cigar’s standard range since the year 1971. It is the second new cigar with a 52 ring gauge, which is also called the parejo size, which was crafted by Habanos, SA within one year.

Similar in popularity are the Diplomaticos, a premium brand of cigar produced in the island of Habanos as well. It was the first new brand of cigar after the Cuban Revolution. Unlike Montecristo that was initially catering to only the high people of the state, Diplomaticos are sold to the public.

Cuban Montecristo cigars are known to be the best. It is truly a standout. A cigarette that is visually appealing with a taste like no other. It has a leathery soft and velvet like texture. This cigar is well built and handcrafted to perfection with a very good construction. Once you drawn, you get that very strong and earthy flavor. You have a full bodied taste and a hint of chocolate and some light, lingering taste of dark spices. It has a very consistent taste all the way down till you finish off with the last puff. These are better when aged but do prepare to spend because it does come with a high price tag.
